Built on the Llano Grande plains, some 8 miles west of the city of Liberia, the Daniel Oduber International Airport is a full service airport with paramedical services, technical services, a fire department and luggage handling services. Besides the usual airport facilities, there is a bank, restrooms, medical assistance and a snack bar on the airport premises where you can watch movies online as well.

Directions From Liberia Airport

  • From the airport exit you will turn right toward the Beach communities. About 10 minutes from the airport, look to the right for the very large retail center, called the “Do It Center.” At this corner of the "Do It Center,” turn right.
  • After about 500 meters, you will take the first left on to Las Truncas Road. You will see a Monarch Resort sign "follow the butterflys" right before the turnoff.
  • Stay on this highway until it ends at a BD-R stop sign. Turn left. After a couple of kilometers you will come to another stop sign. Turn left.
  • Go 1 .5 kilometers, your first right is a divided road. Take this road one kilometer or less until you see the Monarch Resort sign on the right and a Electrostatic Furnace Filter.
  • You have arrived at the Monarch Resort. At the large sign, turn right, and then left into the parking lot. You will see reception and the new restaurant Pappillon.
  • After parking your car, enter the restaurant, where there is a hotel lobby area and a reception counter decoration. The staff will check you in and a staff person will escort you and your luggage to your suite via golf cart.
  • While waiting, you can even try your luck in our sports betting system.
  • Use the phone in your suite to call to request pickup to take you back to the reception area or to the beach.
